U.S. Diplomat speaks at New Student Orientation

Patrick Branco

At the New Student Orientation Candle Lighting Ceremony in August, former student government president and new U.S. Diplomat Patrick Branco (BA International Relations 2010) encouraged incoming freshmen to become involved and make the most of their college experience:

“As you begin your college careers, be brave, try new things, meet new people, and experience life…College is a time to discover your passions and develop a discerning palette. The only way to do that is not to be cautious but to be brave. My biggest recommendation to you is to intern, to volunteer, and to get involved.”

As alumni, you understand how Patrick’s engagement outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of the college experience. Alumni participation through HPU’s Annual Giving program sends a message of belief in the university’s mission.

Your gift further advances HPU’s academic culture and student experience today, providing students with the foundation needed to become the global leaders of tomorrow. Click here for more information or contact the Annual Giving Office.
