Scholarships

This scholarship program has been developed to honor our alumni – the HPU Alumni Scholarship Program. When an alumnus or alumna refers a student to HPU who has not already applied, the referred student will receive a $1000 tuition scholarship in the name of the alumnus or alumna. The referred student must meet HPU’s normal admissions criteria and upon acceptance attend HPU as a full-time student at HPU’s downtown or windward campus. The $1000 scholarship will be applied towards their tuition, half towards the first semester of attendance, and the remaining half towards the second semester. This award can not be used with any other HPU scholarships but can be used with other non-HPU funding sources. Students who are U.S. citizens and have additional financial need are encouraged to apply for financial aid by submitting the Federal Application for Student Assistance (FAFSA) form.

For purposes of this program, an alumnus or alumna is defined as a person who has earned a baccalaureate or master’s degree at HPU and who is not currently enrolled. Alumni who are interested in nominating individuals for this program should complete the following form.

The Admissions Office or Graduate Service Center will send the referred student a scholarship notice and application packet.
